ZHAI Jidong, executive vice-president of KINGENTA was selected as the executive director of International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA)
IFA Strategic Forum took place in Zurich of Switzerland from Nov. 14 to 15, 2017. At the IFA Executive Committee Conference, the KINGENTA executive vice president ZHAI Jidong was elected as the executive director of the Executive Committee.
IFA was established on January 1, 1927. It is the only non-profit organization in the global fertilizer industry with over 500 business entity members from more than 100 countries. The IFA Executive Committee has six executive directors, including the current IFA president and chairman of the largest Indian fertilizer enterprise IFFCO Rakesh Kapur, IFA former president and Gulf Oil president Abdulrahman Jawahery, IFA vice-president and OCP chairman Mostafa Terrab, Agrium president Chuck Magro, YARA International president and CEO Svein Tore Holsether and KINGENTA executive vice president ZHAI Jidong.
The mission of IFA is to actively and effectively promote production and the nutrient absorption of crops to guarantee a continuous increase of global crop products; it advocates free and equal trading to perfect the operation environment of chemical fertilizer industry; collects, edits and issues statistics and other relevant information about chemical fertilizer industry. In the past 10 years, IFA attached an increasingly importance to the market of China, and it held the China Advisors Working Meeting in Shanghai last month, with KINGENTA as the organizer.
