NBPT Urease Inhibitor

NBPT, N-(N-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide, is a white crystal powder. As a soil urease inhibitor, NBPT has the effect of inhibiting urea hydrolysis and slow releasing nitrogen. It inhibits the hydrolysis process of urea into ammonia, and increases the use efficiency by at least 30%. The nitrogen availability can be extended from 50 days to nearly 120 days. The product is highly-effective and non-toxic. It can eliminate the toxic effects of ammonia on seed germination and seedling growth, thus it is an excellent soil urease inhibitor. NBPT is used for urea-based nitrogen fertilizers, taking effect in almost the whole crop growth period without top-dressing.

DMPP Nitrification Inhibitor

DMPP is effective during the first step of nitrification. It reduces the activity of ammonium oxidizing bacteria (represented by Nitrosomonas) in the soil, and then hinders the conversion of NH4-N to NO3-N, so as to avoid the leaching or volatilization of nitrogen. It has no effect on the second step of nitrification, but as long as the first step of nitrification is inhibited, the whole nitrification reaction is inhibited.

IBDU Isobutylidene -diurea

IBDU is a white powder or granule (particle size less than 0.7mm) with total nitrogen content of 32.18%. Its moisture absorption is much lower than urea. The solubility of IBDU in water is very low (only 0.01 ~ 0.1g nitrogen can be dissolved in 100ml water). It is mainly used as a long acting fertilizer and for some animal feed additive.
