Overview

Founded in 1998, Kingenta Ecological Engineering Group Co., Ltd is devoted to R&D, production and marketing of compound fertilizers, slow/controlled-release fertilizers (SCRF), water soluble fertilizers (WSF), and other new fertilizers. Kingenta has the world's largest slow/controlled-release fertilizer production base with total assets of more than RMB 15.3 billion, over 10,000 employees and annual production capacity of 7 MMT. In 2010, Kingenta was listed in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (stock code 002470). 

Kingenta is a key national hi-tech and innovative enterprise involved in drafting industrial and national standards for the SCRF industry. Kingenta is also a leader of the National SCRF Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance. Kingenta has established production sites in Linshu, Shandong Province, Heze, Shandong Province, Changfeng, Anhui Province, Dancheng, Henan Province, Zhumadian, Henan Province, Tieling, Liaoning Province, Weng’ an, Guizhou Province, Jinning, Yunnan Province, Yingde, Guangdong Province along with branches in America, Norway, Israel, Germany, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

Insisting on independent innovation and the development path of combining production, study, and research are important characteristics and advantages since the establishment of Kingenta. At present, Kingenta has established some high-tech national research and development platforms such as The National SCRF Research Center, The National CF Engineering Research Center, The National Identified Enterprise Technology Center, National Key Laboratory for Efficient Development and Comprehensive Utilization of Nutrition Resource, The National Engineering Laboratory for Efficient Utilization of Soil Fertilizer Resources, Key Laboratory of Plant Nutrition and New Fertilizer Creation by The Ministry of Agriculture, Post-Doctoral Scientific Research Station. Kingenta has also established long-term cooperative relationships with more than 40 Chinese academic institutions such as Shandong Agricultural University, China Agricultural University, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, National Agro-Tech Extension and Service Center, Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China National Hybrid Rice R&D Center, Shanghai Chemical Research Institute; seven international universities including The University of Florida, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, The Hebrew University of Israel; and three experimental stations by the United States Department of Agriculture. Kingenta is devoted to R&D and application of new fertilizers worldwide.

Kingenta has successfully carried out more than 40 national and provincial major scientific projects including: National Science-technology Support Plan Projects, National Spark Plan, National Torch Plan and National Key New Product Plan. As of today Kingenta has 200 patents and has been awarded two second prizes of The National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, two first prizes of Shandong Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Award, three National Key New Products and two Chinese Famous Brands designations.
